Ideal tinting conditions

The ideal conditions for installing window film would be sunny but not in direct sun, 70 degrees and about 40% humidity. Todays conditions, rain.
It's not all bad though, I have tinted during the rain for many years with little problems. In fact the rain can benefit the installation by almost eliminating the floating dust factor..everythings wet so no pollen or dust are floating around which can get trapped in the film. However a bigger issue arises when you feel the glass of your car and it's ice cold... tint doesn't like that at all. It's kind of like sticking a bandage on wet skin, the adhesion just isn't there. I can use my heatgun to control small areas but on the backglass you may need to stop back by for a "pressing" once the film drys out a bit.

3M Ceramic series

The 3M™ Ceramic Series products are available in three visible light transmissions to meet your needs - CM 30, CM 40 & CM 50. Using nanotechnology we’ve created ceramics so fine they are not only invisible to the naked eye they are imperceptible with an ordinary microscope. These ceramics allow us to create a film that is tough, won’t corrode and is so clear your view will remain beautiful. The ceramic series will look good not just the first year, but for years to come. Sputtered metal films can corrode, often changing color on the edges. Films that rely on dyes are prone to fading over time, changing to a purplish hue. By using advanced ceramics, our film retains its color and appearance over time. By rejecting up to 59% of the total solar energy and up to 80% of the heat-producing infrared rays, you will feel more comfortable in your car.
