The ideal conditions for installing window film would be sunny but not in direct sun, 70 degrees and about 40% humidity. Todays conditions, rain.
It's not all bad though, I have tinted during the rain for many years with little problems. In fact the rain can benefit the installation by almost eliminating the floating dust factor..everythings wet so no pollen or dust are floating around which can get trapped in the film. However a bigger issue arises when you feel the glass of your car and it's ice cold... tint doesn't like that at all. It's kind of like sticking a bandage on wet skin, the adhesion just isn't there. I can use my heatgun to control small areas but on the backglass you may need to stop back by for a "pressing" once the film drys out a bit.
